In a world where everything tries to be simple, User Interfaces still create lots of confusion and difficulties. I think that digital products should be immediately easy to use and that they should require as little instructions as possible to be operated. Through a diligent and thoughtful UX process, testing and using well established practices, I craft clean and well structured interfaces that empower a satisfying and enjoyable user experience.
Understand. This part of the process is of the utmost importance. I take time to observe users, take notes and collect data to identify problems, constraints and requirements.
Sketch and prototype. Once the problem is framed, together with scope and context, I begin to sketch, wireframe and quickly prototype a possible set of solutions.
User Personas. Creating models of typical users helps me and the company having a deep understanding of their points of view and needs at any given point in time during the experience.
User Journeys. I take my time to imagine all of the usage flows and intersect them to point out critical areas and avoid problems from early design stages.
Test and iterate. This exciting phase is a loop, where User feedback generates new discoveries and alternative versions until the experience feels right and meets requirements.
Deliver. Eventually I refine my design to its most polished version, exporting all the assets and specs and working closely with developers to make sure everything integrates seamlessly. Being a developer myself is something that helps understanding each other in this phase.
During the design process I gradually build a system of components made of text styles, colors, icons, buttons, that expands and evolves through the lifetime of the project. In this way I keep the design consistent through all the devices, allowing my team mates to access the most updated style and assets in any moment. This follows the great principles of atomic design. In my career I was lucky enough to practice UX working with Designers and Information Architects from Microsoft and Amazon among other Companies, learning from the best professionals in the Industry.

My designs start with paper notebook to draft ideas and take notes. Then I move to digital to work on the UX documentation, wireframes and to give shape to the actual product. Here I use software like InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, XD, Figma, constantly mirroring to my mobile devices to have a real-life feel.
In my free time you will find myself coding in C# for virtual reality projects.
